Job Purpose
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient shift operations while meeting key performance indicators (KPIs). This includes managing warehouse activities, supervising teams, and maintaining compliance with company and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will oversee daily warehouse operations, including:
Operations Management
- Manage inbound, picking, and outbound activities
- Ensure efficient workflow and process standardization
- Monitor operational KPIs and performance targets
Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide warehouse staff
- Conduct team briefings and performance reviews
- Drive employee engagement and development
Planning & Coordination
- Plan manpower and equipment based on volume forecasts
- Ensure optimal resource utilization
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety standards and conduct incident reporting
- Support Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives
- Ensure compliance with DHL policies and legal requirements
Continuous Improvement
- Drive process improvements and track CI initiatives
- Participate in audits and implement corrective actions
- Support training programs and operational excellence initiatives
Skills & Experience Requirements
Candidates applying for this role should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse and team management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage KPIs and interpret operational data
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to work under pressure and handle conflicts effectively
Education & Certifications
- Intermediate level education required
- MHE (Material Handling Equipment) license is an advantage
