Job Overview
The Store Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing daily store operations and maintaining the highest safety standards in accordance with aviation regulations. Reporting directly to the Manager of Stores & Logistics, this position involves collaboration with various departments including Technical Maintenance, Compliance & Quality, and Corporate Safety. The role is pivotal in promoting safety awareness, ensuring readiness for audits, and maintaining stores that align with international aviation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all technical bonded store activities including spares segregation, storage conditions, control, and monitoring of aircraft parts, equipment, and materials in compliance with the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and OEM regulations.
- Evaluate and enhance storekeeping methods, procedures, and systems to ensure standard practices and efficient workflows.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the technical stores to provide 24/7 material support for aircraft maintenance activities.
- Supervise tool store operations, ensuring tools are efficiently controlled and available to support routine and major maintenance checks.
- Conduct physical stock checks and reconcile customer inventory accurately and promptly.
- Promote workplace safety and adhere to company safety and quality manuals, encouraging staff to report unsafe conditions or practices.
- Coordinate manpower allocation to ensure operational efficiency and timely support to maintenance teams.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of aviation industry experience, preferably with another airline, in aircraft maintenance stores and logistics.
- Prior experience in a supervisory role is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of aviation technical manuals, aircraft spares management, and ERP systems such as AMOS.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and capable of working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A self-motivated professional with resilience and adaptability to demanding operational conditions.
