Role Overview

As a Travel Consultant, you will be a front-line member of a 24/7 customer service and sales team, responsible for providing consistent, high-quality travel solutions to clients. The role involves selling airline tickets, travel-related products, and offering accurate travel information while proactively supporting customers through multiple channels, including retail counters, phone calls, WhatsApp, and email.

Your primary objective will be to convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales through efficient, friendly, and professional service. You will also support customers with booking amendments, travel disruptions, and ongoing assistance, ensuring a smooth journey from initial enquiry to post-booking support.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver the highest standard of customer service to Retail, Corporate, and Government clients, ensuring all queries are handled promptly and professionally.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, communicating in line with dnata Travel’s brand guidelines.

  • Offer a wide range of dnata-contracted products, services, and loyalty programmes, ensuring solutions meet each customer’s specific travel needs.

  • Maximise revenue by cross-selling and upselling relevant ancillary products such as tours, excursions, activities, and additional travel services.

  • Inform customers of mandatory travel requirements, including passport validity, visa regulations, health guidelines, insurance needs, and check-in procedures.

  • Manage customer expectations during service disruptions, proactively offering solutions and ensuring a positive outcome even when challenges arise.

  • Consistently achieve and exceed service and sales performance targets while maintaining a friendly, “can-do” attitude across all communication channels.

  • Adhere to customer feedback programmes and internal audit standards to meet and exceed quality benchmarks.


Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants should have experience in Sales, Reservations, Ticketing, Travel & Tourism, or Customer Service. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator with strong persuasion skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

You should be self-motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-volume service environment. Strong listening skills, IT literacy, and a willingness to continuously learn and develop are essential. Flexibility to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays is required due to the 24/7 nature of operations.
