Job Overview
As a Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring timely movement of materials and non-stock assets to avoid both stock shortages and overstock situations. The role supports Etihad Airways Group end users and ensures smooth logistics operations across multiple regions.
The position involves close coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to maintain efficiency and compliance with customs and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Logistics Officer will handle a wide range of responsibilities, including:

Coordinating with local and overseas vendors to confirm shipment readiness based on purchase order timelines

Working closely with warehouse and inventory planning teams to meet stock requirements and prevent shortages

Monitoring shipment departures and arrivals based on agreed shipping modes
-
Ensuring timely receipt of original shipping documents in line with customs regulations
-
Coordinating with clearing agents and warehouses to ensure on-time delivery
-
Resolving invoice and GRN discrepancies by liaising between suppliers, buyers, and accounts teams
-
Processing freight forwarder and clearing agent invoices and coordinating COMAT bookings for inbound air shipments
-
Managing stock replenishment shipments to approximately 30 Etihad outstations each month

Arranging logistics support for special projects and marketing department requirements

Coordinating shipments with OSS Catering and relevant clearing agents
Education and Experience Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (International Logistics preferred)

Minimum 5 years of experience as an International Logistics Officer in a large organization

Working experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (Transportation Module)

Strong communication skills to deal with global suppliers

Proven negotiation skills, particularly with freight forwarders for spot rates

Proactive mindset and ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
