About the Receiving & Store Clerk Role
The Receiving & Store Clerk plays a critical operational role within the hotel. This position ensures that all incoming goods—both food and non-food items—are accurately received, inspected, recorded, and stored according to hotel policies and international safety standards.
This role requires close coordination with purchasing, accounts payable, and operational departments to maintain smooth daily hotel operations and ensure inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inspection

Receive and inspect incoming deliveries against approved purchase orders

Verify quantity, quality, and condition of goods upon arrival

Identify, document, and report discrepancies, shortages, or damages promptly
Inventory & Documentation

Maintain accurate receiving records and daily logs for all items

Ensure proper documentation is completed for food and non-food supplies

Support inventory control and materials management procedures
Compliance & Safety

Follow HACCP standards in handling, storing, and recording goods

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving and storage areas

Ensure proper storage conditions to protect product quality and safety
Coordination & Support

Work closely with Purchasing and Accounts Payable for smooth workflow

Qualifications & Skills Required
Education & Experience

College diploma or equivalent qualification

Previous experience in a receiving, storekeeping, or inventory role (hotel or corporate environment preferred)
Technical & Professional Skills

Knowledge of materials control and inventory management practices

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
