Job Purpose
The Store Keeper works under the supervision of the Stores Supervisor and is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, issuing, inventory control, and proper storage of items. The role is essential in supporting the Warehouse and Distribution (W&D) operations, ensuring materials are available on time and maintained in line with operational, hygiene, and quality standards.
Job Context
The position is based within the W&D Division, which manages approximately 1,150 food and non-food items required for airline catering, airport catering facilities, and Food Point operations. The division operates across three main areas:

The Store Keeper’s primary responsibility is to support the Stores Supervisor in maintaining operational control across all daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a Store Keeper at Emirates Flight Catering, you will be responsible for ensuring that all goods received meet the required quality, quantity, expiry date, and hygiene standards. You will maintain appropriate stock levels based on operational needs and issue items according to approved requisitions from various departments.
The role also involves supplying ad hoc departmental requirements on time, controlling petty cash with proper accounting documentation, and ensuring food items are stored in designated areas to prevent exposure to unacceptable temperature or humidity conditions. Strict adherence to hygiene and food safety requirements is essential.
You will verify requisitions and purchase orders originating from operating departments during your shift and forward them to the Supervisor for approval. Accurate documentation for all receipt and issuance transactions must be maintained, with a strong focus on FIFO (First In, First Out) practices to minimize wastage.
In addition, you will ensure correct procedures are followed when handling airline equipment and sensitive items such as fragile, perishable, and chilled goods. Daily stock postings, document filing, and record-keeping must be completed systematically for easy traceability. The role also includes supervising staff performance during shifts, monitoring work schedules, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
Quality, Safety, and Compliance
The Store Keeper must apply and follow the EKFC Quality Policy and Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2000 international standards. All responsibilities must be carried out according to established departmental procedures, maintaining high levels of accuracy, hygiene, and operational excellence.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Candidates should hold a Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification. Strong communication skills are required, with proficiency in spoken and written English to interact effectively with colleagues and other departments. Basic computer literacy is essential for managing documentation and stock records.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Stores Management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Prior experience in food handling, warehouse operations, or aviation catering environments will be an advantage.
