Warehouse Supervisor Role Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing inventory, and leading warehouse teams. This role ensures furniture shipments are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining safety standards and accurate system records.
The position requires strong coordination with procurement, logistics, and store teams to support timely deliveries and smooth warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Operations

Supervise receiving of furniture shipments and verify quantities and quality

Coordinate unloading, inspection, and documentation of incoming goods

Ensure discrepancies are identified and reported promptly
Storage and Inventory Management

Ensure proper storage of furniture items to prevent damage

Maintain accurate inventory records using the Warehouse Management System

Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts
Outbound Operations

Plan and oversee picking, packing, and dispatch of furniture orders

Ensure timely preparation of items for delivery

Supervise proper loading of furniture onto delivery vehicles
Team Management

Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff and casual labor

Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and performance

Ensure safe handling of heavy and fragile furniture items
Quality, Safety, and Compliance

Implement safety protocols and best practices within the warehouse

Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations

Promote a safe and organized working environment
Coordination and Reporting

Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and store teams on shipments and stock

Prepare daily and weekly reports on warehouse activities and manpower utilization
Skills and Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field

Three to five years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably furniture handling

Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and MS Office

Understanding of furniture packaging, storage, and handling standards

Proven leadership and team management skills

Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities
