Purpose and Impact on Organization
As a Storekeeper, your primary responsibility is to contribute to the achievement of store sales and profit targets. You will do this by maintaining an efficient and organized stockroom, ensuring that merchandise flows seamlessly between the warehouse, stockroom, and sales floor. Your role is not only operational but also strategic — supporting sales teams, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring that the right products are available at the right time.
By keeping the stockroom environment efficient and compliant with company standards, you help improve sales efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will have a direct impact on store performance and brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain a well-organized and fully functional stockroom to support daily store operations.

Monitor store sales, KPIs, and personal performance goals to contribute to overall success.

Manage product flow efficiently by prioritizing merchandise movement to the sales floor.

Handle deliveries, transfers, and inter-store inventory accurately and promptly.

Ensure adherence to all stock protection and loss prevention procedures.

Keep the stockroom and its surrounding areas clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Comply with store policies and maintain a safe shopping and working environment.

Identify operational challenges, propose improvement ideas, and share feedback with management.

Support and train selected team members on stockroom procedures and best practices.

Collaborate effectively with peers and supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Participate actively in all required training programs and apply learning outcomes on the job.

Maintain flexibility to assist other departments or team members when needed.

Knowledge, Capabilities, and Experience
To excel in this position, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills, teamwork, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with inventory management systems are beneficial. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment and able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications

1–2 months of experience in a customer-oriented or retail environment, preferably in sports or fashion.

Basic numeracy, literacy, and strong verbal communication skills.
