About the Role
As an Air Traffic Controller – Approach, you will play a vital role in managing air traffic safely and efficiently within Dubai Air Navigation Services’ designated airspace. This full-time position operates on a 24/7 shift basis, ensuring continuous coverage and smooth coordination of aircraft movements in one of the busiest airspaces in the world.
Your primary responsibilities include:

Providing Aerodrome Control Service, Approach Control Service, Flight Information Service, and Alerting Service as required.

Ensuring a safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of aircraft traffic within the assigned area of responsibility.

Managing all communications, navigation, and surveillance procedures in compliance with international standards.

Coordinating with pilots, adjacent control units, and airport operations teams to guarantee smooth arrivals and departures.
This position is a crucial link in maintaining the operational excellence of Dubai’s aviation sector and supporting the vision of making Dubai a global aviation hub.
Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Successful completion of ICAO-recognized Air Traffic Control courses.

Valid ATC License with current operational ratings.

Valid ATCO Medical Certificate.
-
ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
-
Demonstrated ability to work in high-density, complex air traffic environments such as those managed by dans.

Comprehensive understanding of aircraft performance, communication, navigation, and surveillance systems.

Proficiency in computer systems and smart applications used in aviation operations.
Experience:
-
Minimum three (3) years of continuous operational experience at a major international air traffic control unit.

Proven success in managing advanced procedures such as RECAT, RRSM, APO, and A-SMGCS.

Excellent spatial awareness and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining situational awareness.
