As a Security Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to support operations by ensuring all security protocols, policies, and procedures are followed. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with the Airline Security Program (ASP), Security Management System (SEMS), and other regulatory standards. You’ll be actively involved in analyzing irregularities, assisting in investigations, and ensuring proper reporting to uphold the security integrity of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
In this multifaceted role, you will support airport security operations through administrative and logistical functions such as managing statistics, roster planning, and documentation. Your attention to detail will help maintain up-to-date records and manuals crucial for internal and external audits.
You will also contribute to reviewing operational procedures and contracts that impact security functions. Another important part of your role will involve handling inadmissible passengers, coordinating with relevant authorities, and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions such as flight arrangements, accommodations, or deportation procedures.
Additional responsibilities include:

Conducting travel document checks and passenger behavioral assessments to identify illegal immigration risks or unlawful interference.

Liaising with immigration authorities, embassies, and police across the Emirates network.

Assisting in training sessions for Emirates and Ground Handling Agent staff to strengthen security awareness.

Coordinating approvals for VVIPs, CIPs, deportees, and those carrying firearms, while monitoring their movement through collaboration with various stakeholders.

Disseminating security updates and regulatory guidelines to all relevant departments and outstations as per international aviation standards (ICAO, IATA, GCAA, TSA, etc.).
Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this position, candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in a security-related role, ideally within the aviation industry. You should possess a high school diploma (12 years of schooling or equivalent).
Key skills and attributes include:

Strong report writing and computer literacy.

Previous exposure to aviation operations, supervision, and root cause analysis is highly advantageous.

Knowledge in risk assessment is considered a plus.
