Job Purpose
The Paymaster / General Cashier is responsible for managing payroll operations and handling cash-related transactions within the hotel. This includes ensuring accurate salary processing, maintaining petty cash, and supporting financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will perform a variety of finance-related tasks:
Payroll Management
- Process payroll transactions efficiently
- Collect and update employee data in payroll systems
- Prepare reports on earnings, deductions, and leave records
- Resolve payroll discrepancies
Cash Handling & Financial Control
- Manage and control petty cash funds
- Maintain daily safe count sheets and submit reports
- Ensure timely banking of all collected funds
- Provide small change for operational needs
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable and corporate office for fund transfers
- Handle foreign currency conversions from front office
- Follow company policies and procedures for financial operations
Additional Duties
- Support Financial Controller with assigned tasks
- Maintain accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions
Qualifications & Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Preferably from a luxury hotel environment with 300+ staff
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work with integrity
- Willingness to relocate to a remote resort location
