About the Role
As a Cargo Agent, you will be responsible for performing and overseeing all activities related to cargo handling, documentation, acceptance, delivery, breakdown, build-up, and transportation. This role ensures that all cargo operations—both import and export—run seamlessly and efficiently. You’ll be part of a vital team that connects global supply chains and supports dnata’s vision of being the most admired air services provider worldwide.
This position calls for a detail-oriented, safety-conscious professional who can manage multiple operational tasks while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and standard operating processes to ensure consistency and compliance.

Execute daily cargo operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods across all stages — from acceptance to delivery.

Openly discuss safety concerns, report hazards, and strictly follow dnata’s safety and environmental policies.

Supervise and guide Loaders and Equipment Operators in handling, build-up, and breakdown of cargo, ensuring adherence to standards.

Inspect, count, and validate cargo at each delivery, acceptance, and dispatch point to ensure accuracy and conformity with documentation.

Input shipment and cargo data into dnata’s cargo systems accurately and on time.

Coordinate effectively with government authorities such as Customs, Municipality, Health, and Police to facilitate smooth cargo clearance and movement.

Handle and load special cargo including dangerous goods, live animals, and valuables, in compliance with IATA regulations.

Operate cargo handling equipment such as forklifts, tow trucks, and other ground vehicles safely and efficiently.

Load and unload cargo from ULDs, aircraft, and trucks promptly to maintain operational flow.
Qualifications & Experience
To qualify for this position, applicants should have:

A minimum of O-level education (10 years of schooling); higher secondary (12 years) is preferred.

At least 2 years of experience in logistics or cargo handling, ideally within the aviation or freight sector.

Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

A valid UAE or GCC equipment operation license.
