About the Role
As a Supervisor Airport Services (Baggage), you will play a key role in managing daily airport operations and ensuring smooth baggage handling for Emirates passengers. The role requires a proactive leader who can make independent decisions, motivate teams, and maintain service excellence in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities

Ensure full staffing levels, especially during peak operational hours, and coordinate with resource allocators as needed.

Supervise and guide team members to uphold Emirates’ discipline, grooming, and customer service standards.

Conduct regular performance reviews and assist in creating Development Plans for frontline staff.

Identify and address operational issues, implementing corrective actions to ensure efficiency and on-time service delivery.

Manage all aspects of baggage arrivals, including baggage storage, PIR (Property Irregularity Reports), call center operations, and baggage delivery.

Assist passengers professionally regarding mishandled or delayed baggage, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.

Liaise with internal departments such as Customer Affairs, dnata Airport Services, and other Emirates units to resolve baggage-related concerns.

Approve interim relief payments and manage petty cash responsibly for cost-effective operations.

Oversee baggage tracing within the World Tracer System, ensuring all unclaimed baggage is processed and stored securely within four hours of flight arrival.

Monitor baggage tracing performance and escalate unresolved issues to the Central Baggage Tracing Office (CBTO).

Highlight service gaps, adverse trends, and improvement opportunities to the Baggage Services Manager for corrective action.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
-
Proven experience in Airport Operations.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
-
Ability to lead teams under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
Preferred:
-
EKAS Leadership Foundation Certificate (for internal candidates).
-
Valid Aerobridge License for safety-sensitive gate roles.
-
Prior supervisory experience in customer service, ideally with a major airline.
