About the Role

The Late Shift Driver will join the Transport Team at the British Embassy Abu Dhabi. The position requires maintaining a high standard of safe, punctual, and professional driving services for embassy staff, visiting delegations, and VIP guests. The driver will also perform routine vehicle maintenance and basic administrative duties while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers.

This role is open to both male and female applicants currently residing in the UAE. It is a full-time position that follows a late shift schedule, typically between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM, with flexibility for additional hours when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive embassy staff, officials, and visiting delegations to various locations safely and punctually.

• Conduct daily maintenance checks on vehicles, including oil, brake fluid, battery, tyre pressure, and radiator levels.

• Ensure all vehicles are kept clean, serviced regularly, and in excellent condition.

• Complete administrative tasks such as logging trips, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.

• Dress professionally at all times, especially during official visits or VIP delegations.

• Be available for short-notice driving assignments and flexible shift schedules.

• Support other embassy departments and duties when required.

• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).

• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.

• Competent in using Microsoft Office and basic IT tools.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience driving for an Embassy or Diplomatic Mission.

• Knowledge of roads and routes within Abu Dhabi and across the UAE.

• Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance.

• Awareness of Health and Safety standards.

• Ability to communicate in Arabic is a plus.

Salary and Benefits
