Position Summary
The Storekeeper will oversee the day-to-day functioning of the university’s storerooms, ensuring that inventory is accurately recorded, stocked, and distributed. Key Job Responsibilities
The Storekeeper will be expected to:

Receive all incoming materials and reconcile them with purchase orders.

Track, document, and resolve discrepancies in received shipments.

Maintain accurate inventory records, including receipts, adjustments, and returns.

Manage supplies within established minimum and maximum stock levels.

Pick, price, label, and return supplies as needed.

Handle stock rotation and disposal of surplus items.

Oversee freight handling, equipment movement, and minor repairs.

Manage supplier relations ethically and efficiently.

Create purchase orders and conduct low-value procurement activities.

Return canceled or damaged items to suppliers.

Utilize software such as CAFM for managing store-related tasks.

Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, including VAT compliance.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills while maintaining technical knowledge of maintenance and spare parts. The required qualifications include:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in business or a related field is an advantage.

Training: Courses in inventory management, space management, and CMMS or CAFM systems.

Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant supply chain experience, with preference for candidates with over 10 years.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of health and safety requirements related to maintenance activities.

Excellent communication in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.

Preferred Qualifications
