About the Role
As an Equipment Operator at Qatar Airways, you will be responsible for the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of airfield equipment. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and efficiency of aircraft movements at Hamad International Airport (HIA) and Doha International Airport (DIA).
Your responsibilities include:

Operating various types of heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and dozers.

Monitoring the condition and performance of taxiways, runways, and apron markings.

Performing runway rubber removal to maintain optimal friction levels.

Coordinating with stakeholders like HIA Safety, ATC, and Qatar Aviation Services for painting, rubber/oil removal, and maintenance activities.

Supervising outsourced contractors and internal teams for project completion.

Logging daily updates in systems such as CMMS and MALMS to ensure accurate maintenance records.

Managing spare parts inventory and ensuring timely replenishment.

Preparing preventive maintenance schedules and performing routine safety inspections.

Assisting with emergency closures and implementing safety barrier procedures.
Job Requirements
To qualify for the Equipment Operator position, candidates must have:
