This role is integral to ensuring all financial entries, reconciliations, payments, and receivables are handled with precision and in compliance with corporate policies.

Your Role as Junior Accountant

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for logging and processing invoices, updating financial systems, checking documentation for compliance, and reconciling various accounts. You will also address queries from internal departments and external stakeholders, ensuring all financial transactions are backed by accurate documentation.

The role covers a wide range of accounting tasks — from handling supplier payments and maintaining cash control operations to monitoring credit card clearing accounts and releasing credit buffers in coordination with the credit control team. This ensures that the organization's financial practices are well-maintained across all fronts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices and verify supplier documentation.

• Generate invoices, receipts, and financial vouchers.

• Reconcile clearing accounts, including creditors and debtors.

• Tally cash collected and ensure accurate reporting.

• Respond to financial queries from internal teams and clients.

• Support revenue accounting and ensure proper billing to credit card companies.

• Perform transaction processing within set SLAs and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills Required

To qualify for this position, you should have at least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, along with a minimum of 10 years of formal schooling or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential. The ideal candidate should be organized, capable of multi-tasking, and have strong attention to detail.
