About the Role
The Officer GL is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing general ledger accounting activities across the organization. The position supports monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes while ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), company policies, and local regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will contribute to financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, consolidation activities, and maintaining the integrity of the organization's financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger Operations
Prepare accruals and manual journal entries.
Perform account and sub-ledger reconciliations.
Maintain General Ledger accounts and schedules.
Prepare financial reports and management reports.
Analyze balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
Financial Reporting
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.

Prepare standalone, subsidiary, and consolidated financial statements.
Prepare disclosure reports and financial schedules.
Reconcile elimination entries during consolidation.
Ensure timely completion of month-end financial processes.
Budgeting & Compliance
Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.

Provide appropriate accounting treatment for business transactions.
Support implementation of newly adopted IFRS standards.

Ensure compliance with:
ADA policies and procedures
IFRS/IAS accounting standards
Local tax regulations
Delegation of Authority (DOA) requirements
Additional Responsibilities
Manage General Ledger period opening and closing activities.
Support consolidation and miscellaneous ledger functions.
Maintain financial data accuracy and integrity.
Follow Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related discipline.

Minimum 4 years of experience in General Ledger accounting or a similar finance role.
Experience within a large or comparable organization.
Aviation industry experience is preferred.

Minimum 2 years of aviation finance experience is considered an advantage.
