Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Car Driver is to ensure safe, timely, and efficient transportation of school staff. The role also involves maintaining vehicle safety, cleanliness, and compliance with UAE traffic regulations and school policies.
Key Responsibilities
As a Car Driver, you will be responsible for smooth and safe transportation operations.
Core Duties Include:
- Drive school staff safely following UAE traffic laws
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for pick-up and drop-off
- Ensure punctuality and time management at all times
- Maintain discipline and safety inside the vehicle
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections for roadworthiness
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Maintain records such as route logs and incident reports
- Report any accidents, delays, or vehicle issues promptly
- Assist in school transport activities and special events
- Follow GEMS policies and code of conduct
Qualifications & Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (Category 3)
- Clean driving record
- High school education (preferred)
- Valid police clearance certificate
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience in the UAE
- Experience in school transport or similar environment is an advantage
