Purpose of the Role

The Accountant will play an essential role in maintaining accurate and timely financial records. This involves ensuring the integrity of accounting data, performing reconciliations, processing financial transactions, and generating insightful reports that support decision-making across the organization. Your work will contribute to smooth financial operations and help uphold the company’s strong financial accountability standards.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for the following core accounting tasks:

• Perform Payment Reconciliation: Confirm that all payments are properly recorded in the accounting system and match the company’s financial records.

• General Ledger & Account Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, inventory control, billing accounts, clearing accounts, and more to maintain accuracy at all times.

• Process Customer Receipts: Issue receipts and record customer payments in a timely and accurate manner.

• Daily Transactions: Verify, calculate, and post accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.

• SAP Account Entries: Record supplier invoices, adjustments, and accruals using SAP or ERP systems.

• Month-End Closing: Support month-end close activities and prepare detailed financial reports.

• Record Additional Financial Transactions: Handle transactions such as loan payments, overseas payables, and other payment records.

• Documentation Control: Prepare and organize supporting documentation for all financial transactions.

• Report Preparation: Generate weekly and monthly financial reports including VAT statements, analysis reports, and reconciliations.

This role demands a high level of organization, accuracy, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with internal departments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience.

• Strong command of MS Office, especially advanced Excel skills.

• Familiarity with SAP or any ERP accounting software (preferred).

• A diploma or certification in accounting is considered an added advantage.

• Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial processes.
