About the Role
The Team Leader Cargo position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily cargo operations at Zayed International Airport. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing various operational tasks to guarantee that cargo services meet the highest safety and performance standards.
This role not only involves managing the workflow but also focuses on enhancing customer experience, employee engagement, and maintaining compliance with aviation safety regulations. As a leader, the candidate will be expected to motivate the team, drive operational excellence, and deliver seamless service for Etihad and other partner airlines.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, update, and supervise daily cargo activities to ensure safe, efficient, and professional service delivery.

Maintain consistent communication with the operations team and ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Drive employee engagement by promoting empowerment, teamwork, and accountability among staff.

Monitor performance metrics, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, and productivity are consistently achieved.

Conduct daily briefings, complete operational reports, and ensure accurate documentation for all activities.

Coordinate effectively to ensure all guest baggage and cargo connections are handled promptly.

Proactively identify and report any safety or service-related incidents, hazards, or errors in accordance with company policies.
Education and Experience Required

Education: Secondary or High School level education is mandatory.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cargo operations or a related field.

License: Valid UAE Driving Licence (required for airside roles).
Candidates with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of aviation operations will be given preference.
