Position Overview: Accounts/Cashier

As part of the expanding finance department, ABC Cargo is hiring a qualified Accounts/Cashier to handle day-to-day financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and assist with audit preparations. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a similar role within the UAE and demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting tools and principles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and reconcile daily cash and credit payments

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date transaction records

  • Prepare invoices and issue receipts to clients

  • Manage petty cash and coordinate with the main accounts team

  • Support the finance team during audits and monthly closings

  • Utilize MS Excel tools (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) for reporting and financial analysis

  • Ensure all financial data is recorded in compliance with accounting standards

  • Respond to financial queries from internal departments as needed


Qualifications and Skills Required

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (BCom) or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the UAE

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and general accounting software

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure

  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
