Job Overview
The Equipment Operator plays a vital role in supporting ground operations by managing the movement and loading/unloading of baggage, cargo, and aircraft supplies. The role involves operating various Ground Support Equipment (GSE), manual handling tasks, and ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) such as baggage tractors, belt loaders, and container loaders after receiving necessary training and authorization.

Perform safety inspections of cargo holds and report abnormalities or hazards.

Conduct pre- and post-use equipment checks to ensure operational readiness.

Handle baggage, cargo, mail, and supplies safely and efficiently, minimizing damage and loss.

Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Etihad Group safety policies, and UAE aviation regulations.

Use handheld operational tools and assist in data entry where applicable.

Report any incidents, safety violations, or near misses through official reporting channels.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Valid UAE driver’s license is mandatory.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a ground services or aviation-related operational role.

Must be physically fit, able to lift and move heavy items, and work in outdoor, high-paced conditions.
